A Dog Runs 3 Km To Save Her Puppies

Maternal instinct characterizes many mammals. However, when this is about man’s best friend, it gets our attention more. Therefore, in this article we are going to tell you about a dog who traveled 3 km to save her puppies. And also other similar stories.

A dog walks 3 km to seek help for her puppies

The incident happened in Almería, Spain. This little dog gave birth to no less than 10 puppies. Given his obvious signs of malnutrition, it was obvious that he lived on the street. And, as if that weren’t enough, he also had a broken leg. But to save his young he walked for 3 km, once again demonstrating the courage, strength and kindness that distinguish animals.

In the “Turre” veterinary clinic,  the doctors were amazed at the arrival of an undernourished, injured dog  with signs that indicated a recent birth, and that she wanted to be followed.

The vets walked beside her following her slow, aching steps until, after  3km, they found something even more surprising: 10 newborn puppies. We cannot know how the little dog managed to give birth to so many puppies, to feed them at least for a day, to walk with a broken leg, to seek help and to return to them. The only thing we can guess is that undoubtedly it is a demonstration of the love of a mother without equal.

Both the dog and the puppies were taken to the veterinary clinic where they received all the necessary care.

A dog saves her puppies from a fire

This story is set in Chile, in Temuco. Here lives a heroine named Amanda, who rescued her 5 10-day-old puppies, saving them from a fire.

According to the local press,  the dog transported her puppies one by one to the fire truck that was busy putting out the fire that hit a house in the Santa Rosa neighborhood. Amanda defied danger by throwing herself into the flames to bring her children to safety.

Only one of the five suffered burns to the mouth and abdomen. The others were not even touched by the flames. Once she arrived at the vet clinic, the mother stood next to her injured puppy, and didn’t sleep a wink until he recovered.

This third story of canine maternal love takes us all the way to Israel. The dog in question saved her 12 puppies. The little ones were trapped in a building under construction that was flooded by the rain. The puppies were under the rubble where no one could get to.

Obviously,  the dog slipped into a space that she barely entered to take her puppies one by one. The people who were there helped her by removing the heavier objects out of the way. Thanks to the great effort made by the mother, 7 of these were saved.

Finally, the story of a little dog who did everything she could to save her puppies from a dangerous place. The incident happened in Chennai, India. It had rained incessantly for weeks and the flooded areas had been evacuated.

The dog had to swim among the rubble, rubbish and much more. But in this way she managed to save all 4 puppies. The mother traveled this journey over and over to save them one by one. The good news is that they all survived.
