The Nobility Of Dogs

The nobility of dogs

Several times we have already addressed the theme of empathy that dogs feel towards us, of how they are always willing to listen to us and give us a “paw” to help us or make us feel better. Although it is one of the main qualities of these animals, it is not the only one. Today is the time to talk about the nobility of dogs.

In this article we will address the theme of nobility, an intrinsic virtue in this animal species. No, not intended as castles and dragons, princesses or maidens. This is a beautiful quality that our little friends inherently possess. Do you know what it is?

What is the nobility?

Nobility is the prominent quality of people of greatness of spirit and generous soul. Among the main characteristics of these individuals are humility and sociability.

It can be said that nobility makes the individual, or in this case the animal, affectionate, compassionate and endowed with a strong personal interest in others, which drives him to always try to help or do good to others.

It is a quality closely related to being empathetic: it is rare for a non-noble person to experience empathy.

What do you think of the definition of nobility? Do you think it is a characteristic quality of dogs?

This is how dogs demonstrate nobility

Dogs are said to be the most loyal animals in the world. How come? Well, they have earned this nickname with effort and perseverance, always remaining by the man’s side, regardless of mood and time of day, always willing to offer a paw and make us laugh when we are sad.

They accompany us until the last of their days, without asking for anything in return. They love us unconditionally, without any request. Who among those who own a dog can deny the fact that they are special beings?

Examples of nobility in dogs

There are many dogs that have shown incredible nobility and an unconditional love that goes beyond all limits.

Here are some examples of love in dogs:

  • Hachiko. It is a recurring example, it is true, but how could it not be so? His story has been around the world thanks to a film dedicated to him. Waiting for years for his master to get off the train even if he is dead is a proof of infinite nobility.
  • Canelo. This cinnamon-colored dog, hailing from Cadiz, Spain, proved to be a faithful companion, staying next to his hospitalized master for three days during his dialysis. When the man died, the dog remained on the doorstep of the hospital for twelve years, hoping to see him again. Today a street of the city has been renamed with his name, to keep his memory and his noble gesture alive for eternity.
  • Gaucho. This Uruguayan dog traveled 50 kilometers in search of the hospital where his owner was hospitalized. Failing to get him out of the room, the doctors let him stay by his side. Whenever the man was sick, the animal called the nurse without having to press any buttons. When its owner died, the animal barked desperately for a long time over his grave. We are speechless …
  • Alicio. This Argentine dog is still waiting today, since 2010, for the return of his owner on the doorstep of a hospital.
  • Orión. This magnificent Rottweiler rescued 37 people during a flood in Argentina, regardless of the fact that his life itself was at risk. And so, although his race is highly criticized in his country, Orión has turned into a hero.

These are only a few examples, but like these many others undoubtedly demonstrate the nobility of dogs and many other splendid virtues. And you, do you know any stories? We would love you to share them with us.
